½ day tickets are available for morning and afternoon Multi-day tickets are for multiple days All rates include 5% Vermont Sales Tax Smugglers has completed the second stage of its $2.5 million snowmaking expansion. They have added a 20 million gallon reservoir for snowmaking. The reservoir along with some new pipes and snow guns will increase snowblowing by 40%.
Skiers and riders this year will be able to enjoy five new gladed trails; Poacher's Woods, Moonshiner Glades on Madonna, White Tail Woods on Morse, and two other glades at Sterling.
There will be a new Bombardier Superpipe Cutter to make a 400' long superpipe with a 17' radius. A new Bombardier Winch Cat will help groom the steeps.
The Smuggs' Snowboard School will be implementing a new teaching technique using a "magic stick". The magic stick is a nine foot long lightweight bar with a ball on each end. First time riders hold on to the magic stick and use it to steady themselves much like bicycle training wheels.
One of the things that you won't find on the 2001/2002 list is a new chairlift.
