Caution: This ski area very rarely updates its website or its snow and trail report. For example, in late January, new snow was still being reported a week after the event. The website also says snowmaking is going on when in fact it isn't. There is no way of constantly verifying the veracity of Ascutney's website reports, so we simply advise caution!

Comments:

Icy conditions!! Limited trails open due to icing

"Poor management policy has dictated that Jay Peak has never published consistently the number of trails groomed, nor the number of trails undergoing snowmaking. This policy is now in its 10th season...at least!

Skiiing conditions are likely to be icy. Mountain doesn't report anything from recent snow fall and is not forthright about its grooming and snowmaking.

A small mountain facing north, frequently icy with lesser snowfall amounts, but good snowmaking. Nice atmosphere and decent prices. Nice learning area of kids. If you can ski Ascutney's ice you can ski anything. More
